ハーレー・ウィアー PAINTINGS

“Paintings,” a collection of works by Harley Weir, a female photographer from the UK. Born in 1991 and a graduate of Central Saint Martins, she gained attention in fashion photography more by demand than by her own pursuit, becoming a popular photographer who has worked on numerous image visuals for maisons including Balenciaga and Stella McCartney. She is also a Japanophile, having worked on covers for “i-D JAPAN” and other projects in Japan. Her work is characterized by unique images that are stimulating and assertive, encompassing the beauty and strength of women, as well as their transience and delicacy. However, this book differs from her previous creative style, presenting a collection of works composed of superficial colors, shapes, and rhythms, created over the past three years, much like "paintings." She fragmentarily captures walls, the ground, and sometimes monuments and people from her unique perspective, and the unique rhythm woven by colors, forms, and textures is artistic and interesting. This is a unique book that has opened up a new frontier in her creativity.
