Panasonic has introduced a new series of Express P2 cards for use withPanasonic Cinema VariCam 35, LT and HS cameras. These new, faster cards,the AU-XP0256B and AU-XP0512B, are not compatible with the currentAU-XPD1 Express P2 drive. As a result, an upgraded AU-XPD1 has beendeveloped.
The Panasonic AU-XPD1 P2 Memory Card Drive is a compact, single-slot P2card reader/writer that uses a USB 3.0 interface, which is fast enoughto accommodate expressP2 card data transfer rates up to 2.4 Gb/s. It iscompatible with P2 and expressP2 memory cards, as well as microP2 cardswhen using the optional AJ-P2AD1G adapter. Two USB 3.0 ports areprovided on the device; one for transferring data and one for poweringthe device from your computer or an AC adapter. For computers withoutUSB 3.0 support, the device is backwards compatible with USB 2.0.
