This is a truly gorgeous salt glaze jug, handmade in the Alsace region of France.
It has a décor of cobalt blue flowers and swirling stylised green leaves on a blue-grey stippled background.
The small pedestal base is also cobalt blue.
Holds half a liter.
It stands about 13cms (just over 5 inches) tall.
Stamped ‘Gres d’Alsace’ on the base.
Excellent vintage condition.
Would be a great addition to a collection, and can be used as a pitcher or a vase.
