Unique and rare set of eight coasters featuring 4 men and 4 women with traditional Japanese style clothing with varying backgrounds
✔️Information found seems that a set of 6 of these coasters were given out to passengers by CP Airlines Orient Express however I have no proof and I can’t read the writing on them. These are surely collectible as that Airlines is no longer in business.
Made from absorbent material (quality cardboard?) these coasters are 3 3/4” square with rounded corners
There are symbols / writing on each one, however, I do not know what they say.
A couple have a little bit of wear on the front and/or corners like as shown in last picture but over they’re in pretty good shape.
Suitable for display or framing, this is a very nice, unusual and beautiful set.
